OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Leak Points to an Insane 8,500 mAh Battery

The next major release could feature a Dimensity 9500 chip and a massive battery when it arrives this April.

OnePlus really isn't taking a break with the Ace series. We already saw the Ace 6 launch back in October, and then the Ace 6T followed closely in December. Now, multiple rumors coming out of China are painting a crazy picture for the next big drop: the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra.

The absolute standout detail here is the battery size. A fresh rumor today claims we are looking at an 8,500 mAh power cell. Honestly, that is huge compared to the standard 5,000 mAh batteries we usually see in today's flagships. To make sure you aren't sitting by the wall plug all day, OnePlus is reportedly pairing this massive battery with 100W wired fast charging.

Performance shouldn't be an issue either. Word on the street is that MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 processor will run the show. Toss in a large 6.8-inch screen hitting a 165Hz refresh rate, and you have a phone that is clearly built for heavy gaming and media consumption.

There is a fun callback to make here too. If you remember, a super early rumor from way back in July last year mentioned that the Ace 6 Ultra might get a built-in active cooling fan. Well, nobody has mentioned it since. Because the trail went totally cold, it is pretty safe to say we won't actually see a physical fan inside the final product.
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to hit the market in April.

TecHoper's Take: Dropping an 8,500 mAh battery into a smartphone is wild. If OnePlus pulls this off without making the phone ridiculously thick and heavy, it is going to be a total dream for power users. A 165Hz screen combined with the Dimensity 9500 is a beastly setup. Still, without that rumored cooling fan, we really want to see how well the company handles thermal management during long gaming sessions.
